Houndstooth. . . the woven wool of the Scottish Lowlands. Its metamorphosis is quite impressive, and this spring has brought an uncanny fixation on the traditional textile. Yes, you can always find this in Ethan Allen’s fabric library (though you will have to contact an upholstery professional to clean it).
More or less though, you will find houndstooth this season as a statement piece. In the Fall Ready-to-Wear runway shows, designers took a stab at it. The results?
You be the judge.
The Fall RTW Collection from Salvatore Ferragamo definitely made a statement in Milan. Some of the more subtle houndstooth uses came from Hervé Léger by Max Azria and Issey Miyake on the runways of NYC and Paris. Check it out…
Max and Lubov Azria kept it simple (left and center), but with a hint of the pattern. Dai Fujiwara, meanwhile played with the grey tones to make sure that the Miyake design (right) would stay true to the theme. The point?
Houndstooth is in, so make a statement.
If you dare, Bergdorf Goodman has (more like had since they sold out last week) this Italian-made Alexander Mcqueen sweater coat. Luckily, there are practical statements for everyone.
Elle Decor picked up on the trend and offered its readers numerous ways to incorporate houndstooth. From dinnerware by Marc Blackwell, to luggage by Heys (Neiman Marcus). Along with the camcorder by DXG, it is practicality at its finest. And because LoveSac always seems to know the way, statements of comfort can also be yours.

Steelers Here We go! Pittsburgh is going to the Super Bowl!
..Not that any of us here in Pittsburgh are surprised. This Sunday, at 6:30 the Steelers will be on their way to possibly win Super Bowl XLV against the Green Bay Packers. Needless to say, none of us at LoveSac will be repping the green and yellow.

This is what all of the waiting has come down to – the biggest Black Friday sale in LoveSac History. The only catch is you have to get here early.
From store open at 5:00am to 5:59am everything in the store* will be 50% off. Now that the Courtney Cachet line has been officially released, I can reveal to you the trendy new covers. I am sure each designer cover would love nothing more than have you sit on it.
What new covers were brought into this world you ask? There is actually a set of triplets.

I have a little bit of news for everyone who isn’t aware of the promotion we have in our stores. (For some of you…this is old news, old old news). Well if this is new news, then I’m glad to be the one to let you know. If you purchase a MovieSac (1-2 seater/5ft in diameter) or SuperSac (2-3 seater/6ft in diameter), you can get a Sport Utility Cover for free. Wait, let me rephrase that…ahem YOU CAN GET A SPORT UTILITY COVER FOR FREE!! That means you don’t have to spend extra money. That’s a good thing right? I believe so.

Not sure if you’ll need the SUC (aka Sport Utility Cover)? If you want to use your LoveSac in your yard, on your patio, or in the back of your friends pickup truck, then this cover is something you’d probably enjoy. Also, it can make it easier for you to move your LoveSac; there are 2 straps attached to the cover to condense the sac down by releasing a small amount of air from the durafoam. There are handles, too, which allows you and and a friend to carry your MovieSac or SuperSac out of your humble abode and out into the world.
